[Complications of one stage posterior vertebral column resection for the treatment of severe rigid spinal deformities].
to summarize the complications of posterior vertebral column resection (pVCR) and pedicle screw fixation for the treatment of rigid thoracic and lumber spinal deformity. ⋯ one stage posterior-only vertebral column resection can achieve satisfactory correction of severe deformities with limited flexibility. Given its technically demanding and exhausting features, its potential risk of significant complications should be paid more attention.

[The effect of the thoracic cage on the vertebral axial rotation of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis: a biomechanical study].
To investigate the effect of the rib cage on the vertebral axial rotation of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis under axial load condition. ⋯ Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis can lead to the anatomical changes of the vertebra and the thoracic cage. The corresponding changes of biomechanical features of the scoliotic spine and rib cage would occur. The deformed thoracic cage could not maintain the rotation stability as the normal one.

[The ability of pleth variability index to predict fluid responsiveness in mechanically ventilated patients under general anaesthesia].
To evaluate the ability of pleth variability index (PVI) in predicting fluid responsiveness in mechanically ventilated patients under general anesthesia. ⋯ PVI as a new dynamic indices can predict fluid responsiveness non-invasively in mechanically ventilated patients during general anesthesia.

[Clinical effect of lower tidal volume combine with lung recruitment maneuver on ARDS for post operative esophageal carcinoma surgery patients].
To study clinical effectiveness and possible side effects of lower tidal volume combine with lung recruitment on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) for post operative esophageal carcinoma surgery patients. ⋯ Hypoxemia of ARDS following esophageal carcinoma surgery can be improved by lower tidal volume combine with lung recruitment maneuver.
