[Selective anterior thoracolumbar or lumbar fusion for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis].
To evaluate the outcomes of selective anterior thoracolumbar or lumbar (TL/L) fusion for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) with PUMCIId1 curves (Lenke type 5). ⋯ Selective anterior TL/L fusion with single solid rod instrumentation is effective and safe for AIS with PUMCIId1 (Lenke type 5) curves, above and below the fusion and larger residual thoracic curve in some cases need further evaluated.

[Combined pedicle subtraction osteotomy and polysegmental closing wedge osteotomy for correction of the severe thoracolumbar kyphotic deformity in ankylosing spondylitis].
To study retrospectively the efficacy and complications of combined pedicle subtraction osteotomy (PSO) and polysegmental closing wedge osteotomy for correction of the severe rigid thoracolumbar kyphotic deformity in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). ⋯ Combined PSO and polysegmental closing wedge osteotomy by posterior approach only is safe and effective for correction of the severe rigid thoracolumbar kyphotic deformity in AS. The visual field is significantly improved after surgery.

[Clinical investigation of high-intensity zone in anterior annulus fibrosus of lumbar disc: compared with high-intensity zone in posterior annulus fibrosus].
To explore the prevalence, distribution and clinical significance of high-intensity zone (HIZ) in anterior annulus fibrosus (AF) in comparison with HIZ in posterior AF of lumbar disc. ⋯ Compared with HIZ in posterior AF, the HIZ in anterior AF of lumbar disc has a lower prevalence, often develops in elder patients and in upper motion segments. It also indicates an obvious relation to LBP as the former.

[Prospective research on the prognosis of septic shock based on the change of lactate concentration in arterial blood].
To evaluate the correlation between the lactate in artery blood and lactate clearance rate and prognosis in patients with septic shock in intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ Dynamic observation of lactate level is very important for the survival in the patients with septic shock. Patients with elevated lactate and not decreased rapidly have a worse outcome. The 6-hour lactate clearance rate might be the indicator for predicting the prognosis of patients with septic shock.

Comparative Study[Comparison of open and endovascular repair for abdominal aortic aneurysm].
To compare the effects of open and endovascular repair for abdominal aortic aneurysm. ⋯ Endovascular repair is mini-invasive, but has more complications of long-term follow-up. The life quality in open repair group is better than endovascular group, and a prospective random trial is required.
