[Mechanism of radiculopathy induced by experimentally herniated nucleus pulposus in rats].
To determine the effects of the autologous nucleus pulposus on the pain-related behaviors of hind paws in rats. ⋯ Inflammation resulted from nucleus pulposus may contribute to the development of mechanical hyperalgesia. The results suggest that in addition to mechanical compression, inflammation may be an important factor in the pathogenesis of sciatica.

[The possible causes of central pontine myelinolysis after liver transplantation].
To sum up the clinical characteristics of patients with central pontine myelinolysis (CPM) after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) and to document the possible causes on CPM. ⋯ CPM may be more prevalent following liver transplantation. Although the diagnosis of CPM after OLT can be made by complete neurologic evaluation including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the head, the mortality is still very high. The occurrence of CPM may be associated with hyponatremia, rapid rise of serum sodium concentration, postoperative increase of plasma osmolality, the duration of operation and high CsA levels.

[Effects of sevoflurane on membrane permeability of alveolar capillaries in rats with acute lung injury caused by endotoxin].
To observe the effect of sevoflurane on membrane permeability of alveolar capillaries in rats with acute lung injury and the ratio of inflammatory cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in rats with acute endotoxin lung injury. ⋯ Membrane permeability of alveolar capillaries after acute endotoxin lung injury decreased by inhalation of sevoflurane of 1.0 MAC and 1.5 MAC and pathological injury of lung tissue relieved.

Randomized Controlled Trial[The effect of intraoperative warming on patient core temperature].
To investigate the influence of using fluid warming and forced-air warming system on patient core temperature, blood loss, blood transfusion, extubation time, and postoperative shivering. ⋯ Fluid warming system and forced-air warming system can effectively maintain normothermia during the surgery and then help to reduce the extubation time and postoperative shivering.

[Total hip arthroplasty with uncemented cup and femoral head autografts for coxarthrosis due to dysplasia].
To evaluate the outcomes of total hip arthroplasty (THA) for coxarthrosis due to dysplasia with acetabular reconstruction of an uncemented cup in conjunction with a femoral head autograft. ⋯ THA with an uncemented cup in conjunction with a femoral head autograft for coxarthrosis due to dysplasia could obtain favorable results. This method could provide reliable acetabular fixation and appeared to restore acetabular bone stock in patients with developmental hip dysplasia when the coverage of the cementless cup by the graft does not exceed 50%.
