[Out-of-hospital cardiopulmonary resuscitation needs the ventilation].
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is series of rescue measures for saving cardiac arrest patients. Early initiation and good quality of CPR is crucial for increasing chance of survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. In recent years, the CPR guidelines have changed a lot, especially in basic life support. ⋯ As depriving oxygen from a collapsed patient for 6 min may result in poor outcome, the average time for ambulance transport is longer (about 10 to 16 min) in China, which makes rescuers easy to feel fatigue, chest compression only CPR is not suitable in China. Though non-professional rescuers have difficulty to perform mouth-to-mouth ventilation, they generally show a willingness to do so. To strengthen public standard CPR training including mouth-to-mouth ventilation and chest compression, is most important to promote CPR in China.

[Effects of placental growth factor on revascularization after acute myocardial infarction in rats].
To investigate the effect of placental growth factor (PlGF) on revascularization after acute myocardial infarction. ⋯ Regional delivery of PlGF following acute myocardial infarction can improve cardiac function and left ventricular remodeling, enhance angiogenesis and reduce cardiomyocyte apoptosis rate. PlGF may be a potential agent in adjuvant therapy for acute myocardial infarction.

[Risk factors of shunt-dependent hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage].
To investigate risk factors for the occurrence of shunt-dependent hydrocephalus in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). ⋯ The aSAH patients with poor Hunt-Hess grade at admission, high Fisher grade, the presence of intraventricular hemorrhage, ruptured aneurysm in posterior circulation, and abnormal average daily volume of CSF are more likely to develop shunt-depended hydrocephalus.

[Role of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography in patients undergoing robotic atrial myxoma excision].
To evaluate the role of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) during robotic atrial myxoma excision. ⋯ Intraoperative TEE is a valuable adjunct in patients undergoing robotic atrial myxoma excision.

Review[Research progress on postoperative analgesia for pectus excavatum in pediatric patients after Nuss procedure].
Pectus excavatum is the common congenital chest wall deformity in children, and Nuss procedure is the conventional surgical treatment for this disease. Nuss procedure is superior to Ravitch correction for it is less harmful in terms of the surgical technique. However, Nuss procedure is associated with severe postoperative pain, thus adequate postoperative analgesia is important. In this review, factors that influence the postoperative pain after Nuss procedure, the pain managements, the related complications and the side effects of drugs are discussed.
