[Peperphentonamine hydrochloride protects against gentamicin-induced cochlea damage by lowering cochlear caspase-3 expression in guinea pigs].
To study the protective effect of peperphentonamine hydrochloride (PPTA) against gentamicin-induced cochlear damage and its mechanism to inhibit cell apoptosis. ⋯ PPTA can protect against gentamicin-induced cochlear damage in guinea pigs by decreasing the protein expression of caspase-3 to inhibit cell apoptosis.

[Correlation between Pet-CO2 and PaCO2 in morbidly obese patients during anesthesia for laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery].
To investigate the correlation between arterial partial pressure of CO2 (PaCO2) and end expiratory tidal partial pressure of CO2 (Pet-CO2) in morbidly obese patients during anesthesia for laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. ⋯ PaCO2 and Pet-CO2 are closely correlated during a moderate CO2 pneumoperitoneum in morbidly obese patients undergoing laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery.

[Anesthetic management of low birth weight infants undergoing surgery for congenital heart disease without cardiopulmonary bypass].
To summarize anesthetic management of low birth weight infants undergoing surgical intervention of congenital heart disease without cardiopulmonary bypass. ⋯ Non-cardiopulmonary bypass surgery can be performed in low birth weight infants in early stage, and effective anesthetic management can reduce the perioperative mortality and improve the postoperative survival rate.

[Protective effect of low-dose ketamine against intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury following carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum in rats].
To investigate the protective effect of low-dose ketamine against intestinal ischemia reperfusion injury following pneumoperitoneum with carbon dioxide in rats. ⋯ Low-dose ketamine preconditioning can reduce the inflammatory reaction and lessen oxidative damage in the intestinal mucosa following pneumoperitoneum in rats.

[Correlation between serum marker variations and pulmonary hypertension secondary to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease].
To examine the correlation of the changes in the serum markers (C-reactive protein, endothelin-1, interleukin-6, and brain natriuretic peptide) with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary hypertension secondary to COPD. ⋯ Early and combined examination of these serum markers in patients with COPD can help to identify pulmonary hypertension in early stage and estimate the severity of pulmonary hypertension. Hemodynamic monitoring of the changes of these serum markers can be of important clinical value in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension secondary to COPD and in evaluation of the prognosis of COPD.
