The definition and content of opposite points is updated, and renovation of acupuncture teaching is explored in this article. Opposite points interconnect meridians and acupoints. ⋯ It has the advantages of less point selection and regulating yin and yang. Its application in teaching of meridians, acupoints, acupuncture technique and treatment may bring enthusiasm into the study as well as improve the level of teaching.

[Influence of electroacupuncture with penetration needling method on comprehensive pain score in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy].
To compare the efficacy differences among electroacupuncture with penetration needling method, Jiaji electroacupuncture and Jing fukang granule for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR) and to explore the best therapeutic method. ⋯ Electroacupuncture with penetration needling method can relive pain rapaidly in patients with CSR, which is superior to Jiaji electroacupuncture and Jing fukang granule in improving the comprehensive pain scores.

The TCM theory "moxibustion shouldn't be applied at Shimen (CV 5) on female" is discussed in this article, which provides theoretical instruction on proper clinical application of Shimen (CV 5). Based on literature study, ancient classics concerning contraindication of "moxibustion shouldn't be applied at Shimen (CV 5) on female" were studied. ⋯ Reinforcing manipulation should be given instead of reducing. Moxibustion should be applied with cautiousness on the point, especially during pregnancy.

The experience in the clinical application of Professor LI Rui's "mind regulation" theory is introduced in the paper. The substantial foundation of mind and the brief understanding of "mind derangement" are explained and the content of the theory of mind regulation in acupuncture and moxibustion is explained in detail. It is important to emphasize the mind regulation in the heart, brain and spleen as well as the promotion of qi activity.
