Comparative Study[Influence of school environmental factors and learning on pupils' health].
This study is a part of a comprehensive research conducted at 10 schools of different education types (general educational school, specialized gymnasiums, language schools, colleges, lyceums) that are situated in Sofia. A relationship between the factors that characterize school and the training environment, and the health status of pupils was established by using currently available statistical methods. The findings show that the discrepancy between the school and training environment and the sanitary requirements and standards affect both the general and school age-specific morbidity rates in pupils. Knowing the factors, which characterize school in accordance with the claimed educational goals, and schooling factors enables one to arrange all schools.

Some health indices were studied in teenagers in Nagorny Karabakh. The paper presents data on their physical development, hemodynamics, sexual maturity, and total morbidity. There are some regional features in the study indices, which consist in low harmonicity of physical development and hemodynamics, as well as in high morbidity rates with a predominance of cardiovascular and collagen diseases. The found abnormalities may be directly related to the poor environment for teenagers in Nagorny Karabakh after the 1991-1994 war in the region and show it necessary to improve their living conditions, medical control, and therapeutical-and-prophylactic measures.

Comparative Study[Organization of an educational process and routine for senior lyceum students].
The paper presents the data of a comparative analysis of the specific features of an educational process and the routine for senior pupils of biochemical lyceums and those of secondary educational schools. The organization of an educational process in the senior forms of biochemical lyceums is not optimal and, which is more, health-promoting. Good training for entering a higher educational establishment is a high "physiological price": not getting enough sleep, insufficient being in fresh air, no spare time, and mental and emotional stress. This contingent is certain to require more control of their health status, the conditions and organization of schooling, and active measures aimed at their improvement and optimization.

Comparative Study[Comparative analysis of morbidity among gymnasium and general educational school students].
Gymnasiums and general educational schools have most widely spread in Kazan now. By the end of schooling, the difference in the prevalence of all diseases in the gymnasium and school is 244.22 and 908.11, respectively, i.e. this figure is 3.7 times higher in the general educational school than that in the gymnasium. ⋯ Thus, there has been a 2.2-fold decrease in the proportion of apparently healthy children in the past 5 years. In the school-leaving pupils of a general educational school, the prevalence of abnormalities is twice higher than that in gymnasium pupils of the same age and a 13-fold rise in the prevalence of mental disease exacts a very careful attention.
