[Prophylactic requirements for sanitary and epidemiological surveillance in dentistry].
The paper outlines the requirements for sanitary-and-epidemiological surveillance to prevent dental diseases. The investigations pose tasks to medical prevention centers to solve the problems in tooth prophylaxis, such as organizational-and-methodological, sanitary-and-educational, health-improving, and others. The sanitary-and-hygienic requirements for therapeutic-and-prophylactic dental facilities are defined. A procedure for keeping a management protocol for the prevention of tooth diseases is described.

[Assessment of Moscow population health risk from exposure to ambient air suspended matter].
Ambient air pollution by suspended matter is an environmental factor that has the greatest influence on the health status of the majority of the Russian Federation's population. There is extensive epidemiological and clinical evidence suggesting that ambient air pollution by suspended matter and its fine-dispersed fractions PM10 and PM2.5 in particular, poses a serious threat to human health. ⋯ To reduce the concentrations of suspended matter and their action on man is currently the worldwide priority task whose performance will save much money. There is a need to change an air pollution monitoring system (continuous monitoring of fine suspended matter of PM10 and PM2.5), as well as to substantiate and introduce Russian hygienic standards for fine suspended matter (PM10 and PM2.5).

Comparative Study[Impact of chemical ambient air pollution in Moscow on its population's health].
The ambient atmosphere of Moscow is appraised as unbeneficial to the health of the population, that of children and adolescents in particular. Motor transport is a powerful source of the ambient air pollution of Moscow. The average annual level of atmospheric pollution in 2008 is considered to be moderate. Scientific-and-practical studies using the risk assessment methodology also suggest that the ambient air in Moscow is the leading habitat posing a carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risk to Muscovites' health.

Comparative Study[Non-invasive assessment used to evaluate the nasal and oral mucosal cytological status in sociohygienic monitoring].
By analyzing their own studies and the results of other studies by other investigators, the authors provide evidence that the noninvasive evaluation of the nasal and oral cytological status is one of techniques for assessing the health status and reflects the organism's state varying with environmental pollution, which enables it to be recommended for sociohygienic monitoring.
