Multicenter StudyComparison of the 2017 EULAR/ACR Criteria with Clinicoserologic Criteria for the Classification of Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathies in Korean Patients.
To investigate correlations between myositis-specific autoantibodies (MSA) or myositis-associated antibodies (MAA) and clinical features, thereby demonstrating the utility of clinicoserologic classification in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM) patients. ⋯ The clinicoserologic criteria based on MSA/MAA positivity could reflect more precise clinical features of IIM. Establishment of a laboratory system routinely available to screen for MSA/MAA status will be beneficial to provide precise diagnosis and proper management of IIM patients.

Predictive Role of Lung Injury Prediction Score in the Development of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Korea.
Early recognition and therapeutic intervention are important in patients at high risk of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The lung injury prediction score (LIPS) has been used to predict ARDS development; however, it was developed based on the previous definition of ARDS. We investigated the predictive role of LIPS in ARDS development according to its Berlin definition in the Korean population. ⋯ LIPS predicted the development of ARDS as diagnosed by the Berlin definition in the Korean population. LIPS provides useful information for managing patients with ARDS.

Higher Long-Term Mortality in Patients with Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction than ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction after Discharge.
This study aimed to compare mortality rates after discharge between the patients with non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) and those with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), and identify each mortality risk factors in these two types of myocardial infarction. ⋯ The NSTEMI group had higher mortality compared to the STEMI group during the 3-year clinical follow-up after discharge. Low LVEF and no PCI were the main risk factors for mortality in the NSTEMI group. In contrast, old age and renal dysfunction were the risk factors for long-term mortality in the STEMI group.

Accuracy of 2D CT-Based Measurements of Rotational Alignment of the Femoral Component for Total Knee Arthroplasty.
We aimed to investigate the accuracy of two-dimensional computed tomography (2D-CT)-based methods for measuring rotational alignment of the femoral component during total knee arthroplasty in comparison to reference values for three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction. ⋯ Mean errors in PCA and CTA values measured using three different methods on 2D-CT were not significantly different. However, PCA and CTA values measured on 2D-CT were approximately 1° smaller than their 3D values. Thus, we suggest that adding 1° to the mean PCA and CTA values obtained from a single plane of 2D-CT would provide values similar to those obtained from 3D reconstruction.

Case ReportsTherapeutic Lymphatic Embolization in Pediatric Primary Intestinal Lymphangiectasia.
Primary intestinal lymphangiectasia (IL) can cause leakage of lymphatic fluids into the gastrointestinal tract, eventually leading to protein-losing enteropathy. A 15-year-old male patient, whose disease began at the age of 8 years, recently felt worsening general weakness. ⋯ His serum albumin level was initially 1.5 g/dL, but elevated to 5.0 g/dL after two sessions of lymphatic embolization. Accordingly, we suggest that embolization could potentially be considered a first-line treatment for focal lesions of primary intestinal IL.
