Lazertinib is an oral, irreversible, third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that forms an irreversible covalent bond to the Cys797 residue in the ATP-binding site of the EGFR kinase domain and exhibits a high selectivity for sensitizing and T790M EGFR mutations. In January 2021, it was first approved for the treatment of advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with EGFR T790M who had previously received EGFR TKI therapy based on LASER201, a phase I/II trial. ⋯ Lazertinib is currently being investigated as a monotherapy in first-line treatment and in combination with amivantamab under various settings. In this review, we systematically summarize the preclinical and clinical data of lazertinib and discuss future perspectives on the treatment of EGFR-mutant NSCLC.

ReviewSelf-Quarantine System and Personal Information Privacy in South Korea.
The purpose of this study is to present a legal system in which information is actively collected and utilized to monitor the location and health of self-quarantined persons through IT, to identify loopholes in the law and regulatory system in view of data protection and utilization, and to propose a legislative solution for those loopholes. In Korea, the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act ("the Prevention Act") regulates all matters related to the prevention and management of infectious diseases, including the use of information on self-quarantine apps. ⋯ However, since the Protection Act is very general and does not have accumulated cases, there is uncertainty about how governments can utilize the collected information. Therefore, it is necessary to consider a legislative solution that includes a direct and clear basis for the use of personal information collected under the Prevention Act in consideration of Korean privacy regulations.

Meta AnalysisRisk Factors of Unplanned Readmission after Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
With an increasing number of anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) being conducted for degenerative cervical disc disease, there is a rising interest in the related quality of management and healthcare costs. Unplanned readmission after ACDF affects both the quality of management and medical expenses. This meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the risk factors of unplanned readmission after ACDF to improve the quality of management and prevent increase in healthcare costs. ⋯ Male, older age, HTN, DM, CAD, ASA grade >2, anxiety and depression, pulmonary complications were significantly associated with an increased occurrence of unplanned readmission after ACDF.

Meta AnalysisThe Effect of Denosumab and Risk Factors for Recurrence in Spinal Giant Cell Tumors: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Giant cell tumors (GCTs) are common benign primary bone tumors and are well known for their locally aggressive performance and tendency to recur. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of denosumab and risk factors for recurrent spinal GCTs. ⋯ Clinicians must consider the effects of gross total resection, radiotherapy use, and denosumab use in cases of subtotal resection during spinal GCT treatment. So far, many researchers have used denosumab in spinal GCT, but none have clearly suggested an endpoint. Most studies, however, recommend using it for more than 6 months.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of the Forefoot Pressure-Relieving Effects of Foot Orthoses.
Metatarsal pads are prescribed to decrease forefoot plantar pressure. However, the appropriate metatarsal pad placement location remains a debated issue. We aimed to identify the most effective insole design that reduces forefoot plantar pressure and determine the optimal position for metatarsal pad placement. ⋯ Considering the possibility of discomfort caused by improper metatarsal pad placement, the SP that increases shock absorption may be more clinically useful.
