A Radiomics-Based Model with the Potential to Differentiate Growth Hormone Deficiency and Idiopathic Short Stature on Sella MRI.
We hypothesized that a radiomics approach could be employed to classify children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD) and idiopathic short stature (ISS) on sella magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Accordingly, we aimed to develop a radiomics prediction model for differentiating GHD from ISS and to evaluate the diagnostic performance thereof. ⋯ Radiomic analysis of sella MRI may be able to differentiate between GHD and ISS in clinical practice for short-statured children.

Effect of Dapagliflozin in Combination with Lobeglitazone and Metformin in Korean Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in Real-World Clinical Practice.
This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of dapagliflozin as an add-on or a switch therapy to lobeglitazone plus metformin (MFM) in Korean patients with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in real-world clinical practice. ⋯ Dapagliflozin, as an add-on or a switch therapy to lobeglitazone plus MFM, can be a suitable alternative for Korean patients with inadequately controlled T2DM. The combination therapy resulted in significant reductions in HbA1c levels, body weight, and blood pressure.

Axial Length as a Risk Factor for Steroid-Induced Ocular Hypertension.
In this study, we aimed to assess whether axial length (AXL) is a true risk factor for steroid-induced ocular hypertension (OHT). We hypothesized that the proportion of patients with steroid-induced OHT among individuals who have received intravitreal dexamethasone (DEX) injections would differ according to the AXL of their eyes. ⋯ Our findings indicate that a long AXL is a risk factor for steroid-induced OHT. Further, clinicians should be aware of steroid-induced OHT when treating patients with high myopia with steroids.

Associations between Subclinical Myocardial Dysfunction and Premature Fusion of Early and Late Diastolic Filling with Uncertain Cause.
The fusion of early (E) and late diastolic filling (A) on mitral inflow Doppler, even in the absence of tachycardia, is often found during assessment of left ventricular (LV) diastolic function. We evaluated the echocardiographic characteristics and clinical implications of premature E-A fusion of uncertain cause in the absence of tachycardia. ⋯ Premature E-A fusion at heart rates less than 100 bpm is associated with subclinical LV dysfunction. Time-based indices and LV GLS are helpful for evaluating this easily overlooked population.

Association between Disability and Edema Index Values in Rural Older Adult Osteosarcopenia Patients.
This study analyzed the relationship between degree of disability and edema index [extracellular water/total body water (ECW/TBW) ratio] values in a rural population of older adult patients with osteopenia, sarcopenia, or osteosarcopenia (OS). ⋯ This study found that the degree of disability is related to the edema index in older patients with osteopenia, sarcopenia, or OS. Since the edema index indicates the nutritional status of an individual, proper nutrition and fluid intake are important to reduce disability.
