Bilateral versus Single Internal Thoracic Artery Grafting Strategies Supplemented by Radial Artery Grafting.
It is unclear if a second or third arterial graft can improve clinical outcomes in coronary artery bypass graft surgery. We compared the outcomes of bilateral internal thoracic artery (BITA) plus radial artery (RA) grafting versus left internal thoracic artery (LITA) plus RA grafting after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting. ⋯ The rates of MACCEs were lower with LITA plus RA grafting than with BITA plus RA grafting in total arterial revascularization. Furthermore, complete revascularization improved long-term outcomes following total arterial grafting.

Case ReportsGastrointestinal AA Amyloidosis following Recurrent SARS-CoV-2 Infection: A Case Report.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has been associated with the overproduction of serum amyloid A protein, resulting in systemic AA amyloidosis. In this report, we describe a case of gastrointestinal (GI) AA amyloidosis following SARS-CoV-2 infection. A 75-year-old male presented to the emergency department with upper abdominal pain 6 weeks post kidney transplantation. ⋯ The patient was managed conservatively and was also given remdesivir for the SARS-CoV-2 infection. His clinical symptoms subsequently improved, and endoscopic findings demonstrated improvement in multiple gastric ulcers. GI amyloidosis may be a subacute complication following SARS-CoV-2 infection in immunocompromised patients.

Intramuscular Neural Distribution of the Gastrocnemius for Botulinum Neurotoxin Injection: Application to Cosmetic Calf Shaping.
Anatomical landmarks can provide vital information on the distribution of nerves in the gastrocnemius muscle. We aimed to provide an anatomical perspective on appropriate locations for botulinum neurotoxin (BoNT) injections in the medial and lateral parts of the gastrocnemius for calf shaping. ⋯ We propose that BoNT injections should be directed to the 7/10-8/10 section of the medial head and the 7.5/10-8.5/10 section of the lateral part of the gastrocnemius. Following our guidelines, clinicians can ensure satisfactory results with the use of minimal doses to limit adverse effects, such as gait disturbance, antibody production, and bruising, due to multiple injections. The results can also be altered and applied to electromyography.
