LncRNA LINC00313 Knockdown Inhibits Tumorigenesis and Metastasis in Human Osteosarcoma by Upregulating FOSL2 through Sponging miR-342-3p.
Osteosarcoma (OS) is the most common primary bone tumor, with high morbidity in infants and adolescents. Long noncoding RNA LINC00313 has been found to modulate papillary thyroid cancer tumorigenesis and to be dysregulate in lung cancer. However, the role of LINC00313 in OS has not yet been addressed. ⋯ LINC00313 is upregulated in OS, and LINC00313 knockdown plays a vital anti-tumor role in OS cell progression through a miR-342-3p/FOSL2 axis. Our study suggests that LINC00313 may be a novel, promising biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis of OS.

ReviewA Review of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Adherence among Female Sex Workers.
Globally and in Africa specifically, female sex workers (FSWs) are at an extraordinarily high risk of contracting human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) has emerged as an effective and ethical method with which to prevent HIV infection among FSWs. PrEP efficacy is, however, closely linked to adherence, and adherence to PrEP among FSWs is a complex and interrelated process that has been shown to be of importance to public health policies and HIV control and intervention programs. ⋯ These strategies encompass 1) a long-term educational effort to decrease the stigma associated with sex work and PrEP use, 2) education on how PrEP works, 3) lifestyle modification, 4) research on next-generation PrEP products to address the inconvenience of taking daily pills, and 5) integration of PrEP into existing services, such as social services and routine primary care visits, to reduce the economic burden of seeking the medication. Our review is expected to be useful for the design of future PrEP intervention programs. Multidisciplinary intervention should be considered to promote PrEP adherence among FSWs in order to help control the HIV epidemic.

Contribution of Personality Traits, Psychological Factors, and Health-Related Quality of Life to Medication Adherence in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
This study sought to investigate the associations between personality traits and medication adherence and to identify predictors of good medication adherence in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. ⋯ The personality trait of conscientiousness was associated with medication adherence among the five personality traits evaluated. Patients with diabetes mellitus also showed higher medication adherence than those without this comorbidity.

Blood Supply and Demand in Korea: What is in Store for the Future?
Presently, Korea is facing new challenges associated with an imbalance in blood supply and demand. The purpose of this study was to examine trends in blood supply and demand in Korea over the past 10 years through 2018 and to propose what to prepare in the future. ⋯ Blood management in Korea is changing rapidly due to a low birth rate, rapid aging, and an increase in severely ill patients who require most of the blood supply. Therefore, future plans to promote donation at a national level and optimal use of blood in hospitals is necessary.
