Effect and Mechanism Study of Sodium Houttuyfonate on Ventilator-Induced Lung Injury by Inhibiting ROS and Inflammation.
Ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) is a serious complication of mechanical ventilation (MV) that increases morbidity and mortality of patients receiving ventilator treatment. This study aimed to reveal the molecular mechanism of sodium houttuyfonate (SH) on VILI. ⋯ SH relieved VILI by inhibiting the ROS-mediated JNK pathway.

Benzodiazepine Use and Long-Term Mortality in South Korean Adult Population: A Cohort Study.
Studies have reported mixed results on the association between benzodiazepine use and mortality. Here, we investigated whether benzodiazepine use is associated with a higher risk of 5-year all-cause mortality, and examined the association between benzodiazepine use and 5-year disease-specific mortality. ⋯ Benzodiazepine use was associated with increased 5-year all-cause mortality in the South Korean adult population. Further studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Negative Impacts of Prolonged Standing at Work on Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Physical Fatigue: The Fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey.
We aimed to investigate variations in the risk of low back pain (LBP), lower extremity muscle pain, and whole body fatigue according to differences in prolonged standing work hours in relation to risk factor exposure and rest frequency. ⋯ Changes in work methodologies are needed to lower the number of hours spent in a prolonged standing posture at work, including being able to rest when workers want to do so, to reduce pain and fatigue.
