Case ReportsA Case of Adult Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Prostate Cured by Long-Term Chemotherapy with Local Radiation.
A 32-year-old man visited our hospital due to urinary retention. Prostate-specific antigen was 13.7 ng/mL. Imaging examinations showed a large prostatic tumor and lung and internal iliac lymph node metastases. ⋯ Maintenance chemotherapy, excluding vincristine because of severe peripheral nerve disorder, was performed for 2 years. There has been no recurrence for 49 months after the termination of maintenance chemotherapy. To the best of our knowledge, this is the longest surviving case of adult-onset metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma of the prostate reported in the literature.

Comparative StudyNo Wound for Stones <2 cm in Horseshoe Kidney: A Systematic Review of Comparative Studies.
No wound to the patients is the pursuit of surgeons. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) and ureteroscopy (URS) are minimally invasive modalities for treating horseshoe kidney (HSK) stone <2 cm. We aimed to review the outcomes and complications of comparing SWL and URS in HSK stone. ⋯ For a stone <2 cm in HSK, both SWL and URS are safe treatment modalities. URS alone is a more feasible and sufficient option for stone in HSK <2 cm than SWL with possibilities of a second session.

ReviewFournier's Gangrene: Literature Review and Clinical Cases.
Fornier gangrene is an extremely rare disease of the genitals. This disease is a result of the urogenital tract, anorectal area, and genital skin infections, appearing usually in immunocompromised patients with diabetes, obesity, and malignant neoplasms. The basic treatment of Fournier gangrene includes an emergency surgical intervention combined with antibiotic therapy and detoxification. ⋯ The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical and laboratory presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of Fournier gangrene are described in this article. The authors have described several clinical cases of patients with Fournier gangrene and with necrotic cellulitis and fasciomyositis of anterior abdominal wall, which is a manifestation of Fournier gangrene. Making allowance for the unfavorable epidemiological situation of syphilis in Russia, the increase in the incidence of complicated, atypical chancre, and therefore, the need for differentiation of Fournier gangrene with such manifestations of syphilis as necrotizing, esthiomenous chancre, indurative edema, the appropriate clinical examples are well explained in this article.

Multicenter Study Comparative Study Observational StudySignificance of Hyperbaric Oxygenation in the Treatment of Fournier's Gangrene: A Comparative Study.
Hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO), in addition to anti-infective and surgical therapy, seems to be a key treatment point for Fournier's gangrene. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of HBO therapy on the outcome and prognosis of Fournier's gangrene. ⋯ The positive influence of HBO on the treatment of Fournier's gangrene can be estimated only from the available data. Despite poorer baseline findings with comparable risk factors, mortality was 0% in the HBO group. The analysis of a larger patient cohort is desirable to increase the significance of the results.

Multicenter StudyHigh-Grade T1 on Re-Transurethral Resection after Initial High-Grade T1 Confers Worse Oncological Outcomes: Results of a Multi-Institutional Study.
The aim of this multicenter study was to investigate the prognostic impact of residual T1 high-grade (HG)/G3 tumors at re-transurethral resection (TUR of bladder tumor) in a large multi-institutional cohort of patients with primary T1 HG/G3 bladder cancer (BC). ⋯ Residual T1 HG/G3 tumor at re-TUR confers worse prognosis in patients with primary T1 HG/G3 treated with maintenance BCG. Patients with residual T1 HG/G3 for primary T1 HG/G3 are very likely to fail BCG therapy alone.
