[Trigeminal purinergic P2X4 receptor involved in experimental occlusal interference-induced hyperalgesia in rat masseter muscle].
To explore the expression of purinergic p2X4 receptor (P2X4R) in trigeminal ganglion of rats after occlusal interference. Investigation of peripheral receptor mechanism of occlusal interference-induced masticatory muscle pain will aid the development of drug intervention against this condition. ⋯ Increased expression of trigeminal P2X4R involves in the development of occlusal interference-induced masseter hyperalgesia.

[The treatment effects and mechanisms of pyrroloquinoline quinone on defective teeth and mandible in Bmi-1 knockout mice].
To investigate the treatment effects and mechanisms of pyrroloquinoline quinine(PQQ) on defective teeth and mandible in Bmi-1 knockout mice. ⋯ The results indicate that PQQ may have treatment effects on defective teeth and mandible through promoting osteoblast bone formation and reducing osteoclast bone resorption, scavenging ROS and reducing DNA damage.

Comparative Study[Evaluation and analysis of facial somatosensory changes of chronic masticatory muscle pain patients with quantitative sensory testing].
To evaluate and analysis facial somatosensory changes of patients with chronic masticatory muscle pain (MMP) quantitatively. ⋯ Chronic MMP patients were detected thermal hyperesthesia, thermal hyperalgesia, and mechanical hyperalgesia. Mechanical hypoesthesia was found at the pain sites of masticatory muscles. Chronic MMP might influence the central modulation of trigeminal nerve system.

[Changes of protein kinases Mζ expression in the anterior cingulate cortex after applying three different magnitude of orthodontic force].
To investigate the regulatory effect of central synaptic plasticity on pain induced by experimental tooth movement and to analyzethe expression of protein kinases Mζ (PKMζ) in the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) after applying different magnitude of orthodontic force. ⋯ More pain caused by increased orthodontic force maybe due to the up-regulation of PKMζ in the anterior cingulate cortex.

[Characteristics of experimental occlusal interference-induced masticatory mechanical hyperalgesia of rats].
To investigate the relationship between the existence of occlusal interference and masticatory muscle hyperalgesia by exploring the stimulus-response relationship between the duration of occlusal interference and masticatory muscle mechanical withdrawal threshold. ⋯ The mechanical hyperalgesia can disappear after removal of the occlusal interference at 5 d, and the existence of the occlusal interference is positively correlated with the duration of the mechanical hyperalgesia.
