[Electronic surveying of digital partially dentate casts].
To develop a method of surveying the digitalized partially dentate cast in order to accomplish computer aided design (CAD) of removable partial denture (RPD) frameworks. ⋯ The new module in Tanglong software was developed specifically for surveying partially dentate casts. It had a user-friendly interface with the easy-to-understand menus. The success of surveying dental casts digitally would make it possible to CAD of RPD frameworks.

[Comparison of atypical orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders synovitis pain processing in the human brain using functional magnetic resonance imaging].
To compare the central nervous system processing of orofacial pain patients who might have atypical pain (group 1) after occlusal treatment with those patients who had synovitis pain of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) (group 2). ⋯ The pain network is different between the two groups of pain patients and the pain network is more sensitive in atypical pain patients than in synovitis pain patients.

[Validation of a Chinese version of the oral health impact profile-14].
To translate the original English version of oral health impact profile (OHIP)-14 into Chinese version and to test the psychometric properties of the Chinese version for use among the Chinese adults. ⋯ The translated Chinese version of OHIP-14 demonstrated good reliability and validity. Its good psychometric properties provide the theoretical evidence for further use in Chinese population. It is available for use by researchers in oral health related quality of life studies in Chinese adults.
