Thirty victims of criminal situations with craniocerebral injuries were examined. Clinical picture and time course of changes in the mental disorders, that are the most important for practical forensic medical expert evaluation, were analyzed, and approaches to the choice of the correct expert conclusion in assessment of the severity of injuries and of the victims' abilities discussed.

The possibility of differentiation between impairments of the tissue, formed by membrane bullets of the same gauge when shot from guns of various brands, was studied in experiments. Antimony levels in the injury wiping belt were found the most informative sign for this purpose.

[The histoenzymological diagnosis of the time of occurrence of a closed spinal cord trauma].
Time course of the activities of transport enzymes in capillary walls of human spinal cord was studied in various periods after closed injury to the cord, inflicted by hard blunt objects, with the use of histochemical methods for the detection of alkaline phosphatase and Mg-dependent ATPase. Wave-like fluctuations in the activities of the examined enzymes were revealed. The findings may be used to assess the period elapsed since the cord injury.
