Comparative Study[Table of predicting the outcome of neurologic syndromes of lumbar osteochondrosis].
Using the algorhythm of a successional statistical Wald procedure, the author elaborated a table for the assessment of the probability of a transition of an exacerbation into remission on the 20th day. The table was tested in the studied group (87 patients) and in control series (94 patients). ⋯ Incorrect and indefinite responses prevailed in cases of sclerotomic and radicle lumbo ischalgia. The table is intended for selection of a more severe group, the treatment of which from the beginning of an exacerbation is expedient to conduct in a neurological ward.

[Changes in cardiac activity in the acute period of subarachnoid hemorrhage].
In the acute phase of subarachnoidal hemorrhages which was seen in 32 patients the author studied changes in the cardiac activity and phasic structures of cardiac contraction. The studies were supplemented by electrocardiographic and polycardiographic methods permitting to determined separate phases of cardiac contraction and quantitatively characterize the contracting function of the myocardium. In 21 patients according to the EGC data there were changes in the cardiac activity. It is assumed that the main role in the development of such changes during subarachnoidal hemorrhages belongs to diencephalic brain structures, the changed function of which lead to distrubances of central regulation of the heart activity.

[Features of episodes of mental disorders in chronic renal insufficiency (clinico-morphologic study)].
The authors studied the traits of psychotic attacks in 40 patients with terminal stages of chronic renal insufficiency. They were expressed in atypical delirious, delirio-amentive and amentive conditions. 8 cases were studied morphologically. The pathological process in the brain was characterized as toxico-dyshomeostatic encephalopathy. The pathogenesis of such disorders is discussed.
