Vaccination practices in Germany are driven by scientific developments and a complex regulatory environment. Some important developments in 2019/20 are described here: Work-related vaccination recommendations for measles, rubella, and chickenpox have been streamlined and expanded. In addition, measles vaccination or documentation of immunity is now mandatory for employment at and attendance of many institutions, specifically including day care centers and schools. ⋯ After years of development and clinical studies the first vaccine against Ebolavirus disease has been licensed by EMA in November and by FDA in December 2019. More than 150 SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidates are being developed with massive financial support, several phase 1/2 trials have started. A licensed vaccine may actually be available in 2021 and thus dramatically faster compared to any other modern vaccine development.

[Non-functioning pituitary tumors - short presentation of the first German guideline].
Pituitary tumors are frequent (estimated prevalence in adults up to 10 %). However, diagnostic work-up and therapeutic concepts are not well standardized; especially for non-functioning tumors. In the beginning of 2020, the first German interdisciplinary guideline on these topics was published. ⋯ If the surgical resection was incomplete or if tumors are recurrent, therapeutic modalities (e. g. re-operation, radiotherapy, observation) should be interdisciplinary considered. In all patients with or without therapeutic intervention, long-term follow-up is required. Patient with larger pituitary tumors or former surgery/radiotherapy should be regularly counseled regarding potential symptoms of hormonal insufficiency.

Case Reports[Infection of the orbita due to Delftia acidovorans after a cat scratch].
A 60 years old woman experienced a cat scratch 34 months ago on the left eyelid. Chronic, progredient skin lesions and headache developed. Treatments with cortisone, pimecrolimus, pregabalin and metamizole were not successful. After 24 months the patient complained of severe bulbus pain in the left eye, increased eye movement pain, and high photosensitivity. There were granulomatous papules in the area of the eye. ⋯ D. acidovorans has not yet appeared as a zoonotic pathogen but should be included in the case of injury by animals in the differential diagnostic considerations.
