Meta Analysis Comparative StudyComparative Efficacy of Second- and Subsequent-line Treatments for Metastatic NSCLC: A Fractional Polynomials Network Meta-analysis of Cancer Immunotherapies.
Extended onset of treatment effect and longer-term survival with anti-programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)/programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) immunotherapies, atezolizumab, nivolumab, and pembrolizumab, have changed the landscape of second- or subsequent-line (2L+) treatments for adults with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This systematic literature review included phase I to IV randomized, controlled trials of 2L+ NSCLC therapies from MEDLINE, Embase, and secondary sources. ⋯ This NMA applied an appropriate approach for indirect comparisons, including cancer immunotherapies, and supported robustness of PD-L1/PD-1 immunotherapies for 2L+ treatment of NSCLC.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment as Adjuvant Therapy in Completely Resected Stage IB-IIIA Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer: Study Protocol for a Multicenter, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Trial.
Adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) has been proven to yield an approximately 5% improvement in 5-year survival for patients with early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer. With such small gains in survival, the optimal treatment regimen remains to be established. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment in combination with AC is frequently used in China. ⋯ Secondary end points include disease-free survival and quality of life. Other end points are TCM symptoms, performance status, and safety of the regimens. Recruitment started in October 2016 and is ongoing.

Postoperative Recurrence and Survival After Segmentectomy for Clinical Stage 0 or IA Lung Cancer.
Although radical segmentectomy is an accepted treatment option for small-sized lung cancer, the outcomes remain unclear. The present study aimed to elucidate recurrence patterns and to identify predictors of time to recurrence after intentional segmentectomy for early lung cancer. ⋯ Based on these findings, favorable survival is expected after intentional segmentectomy for selected patients with clinical stage 0 or IA non-small-cell lung cancer. Patients with a higher C/T ratio tumor appear to be at higher risk of recurrence after intentional segmentectomy.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyCorrelations Between the Immune-related Adverse Events Spectrum and Efficacy of Anti-PD1 Immunotherapy in NSCLC Patients.
Immune-related adverse events (irAEs) developed during immunotherapy with anti-PD-1 agents, could be a predictive surrogate marker of clinical benefit in patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Our study confirmed that irAEs are concordantly related to higher ORR, longer PFS, and longer OS with anti-PD-1 immunotherapy in patients with NSCLC.
