[The detection of house dust mites in the apartments of children with allergic diseases].
The acarological study of house dust in 239 apartments of children with different allergic diseases (bronchial asthma, rhinosinusitis, atopic dermatitis) developing as the result of indoor sensitization has been carried out. The significant difference between the occurrence of house-dust mites in apartments inhabited by healthy and sick children has been established. The occurrence of mites and their number have been found to affect the symptoms of an allergic disease and its exacerbation.

Comparative Study Clinical Trial[The effectiveness of using the Vaxigrip vaccine from the firm of Pasteur Mérieux Connaught for influenza prevention in organized groups of adults].
The results of the study of the effectiveness of using vaccine Vaxigrip for the prophylaxis of influenza in organized groups of adults are presented. The vaccine was found to have high epidemiological effectiveness (the epidemiological index was 2.6), moderate reactogenicity and pronounced immunological activity (the protection level was 89.0-100.0%). The vaccine may be recommended for the prophylaxis of influenza among adults.

Clinical Trial[Staphylococcal persistence factors in the prognostication of the course of pyo-inflammatory diseases].
The role of Staphylococcus aureus persistence factors as the most informative signs of bacteria in the determination of the specific features of purulent inflammatory diseases has been established. The model for the prognostication of the character of the course of the purulent inflammatory process, induced by staphylococci, with due regard to the complex of their persistence factors has been created.

[The immunological efficacy of the combined vaccine Trimovax intended for the prevention of measles, mumps and rubella].
In 1996 the immunization of children against measles, mumps and rubella with combined vaccine Trimovax ("Pasteur Mérieux Connaught", France) was carried out in the Republic of Belarus. The reactogenicity of the vaccine was studied in 372 children. To evaluate immunological effectiveness, the sera of 324 children were used. ⋯ Among the vaccinees, protective titers of antibodies to measles were found in 97.6% to mumps, in 93.8% and to rubella, in 96.0% of the children. Antibodies to all three components of the vaccine were present mainly in high and moderate titers. The results thus obtained indicate that, Trimovax was well tolerated and proved to be immunologically active.
