Effect of pramipexole on RLS symptoms and sleep: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial.
Patients with Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) often seek treatment because of sleep problems related to nocturnal symptoms. Our goal was to test the ability of pramipexole to improve sleep in RLS patients and to reconfirm its efficacy for primary RLS symptoms. ⋯ Pramipexole is effective and well-tolerated for RLS and related sleep disturbance.

Clinical efficacy of ropinirole for restless legs syndrome is not affected by age at symptom onset.
To determine whether clinical response to the dopamine agonist, ropinirole, in the treatment of primary restless legs syndrome (RLS), depends upon the age-at-onset of RLS symptoms. ⋯ These data suggest that ropinirole provides effective relief of symptoms, regardless of age at RLS symptom onset.
