Randomized Controlled Trial
Effectiveness of Suprascapular Nerve Pulsed Radiofrequency Treatment for Hemiplegic Shoulder Pain: A Randomized-Controlled Trial.
Hemiplegic shoulder pain is one of the most common complications after stroke. Although there are many treatment strategies for this complication, sometimes very resistant cases are also seen. ⋯ Hemiplegic shoulder, stroke, pain, radiofrequency, suprascapular nerve.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Intermediate Cervical Plexus Block in the Management of Persistent Postoperative Pain Post Carotid Endarterectomy: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled, Clinical Trial.
The mechanisms of persistent postoperative pain (PPP) with neuropathic features after carotid endarterectomy (CEA) are multifaceted and are incompletely understood. ⋯ Carotid endarterectomy, intermediate cervical plexus block, myofascial planes of neck, neuropathic disturbances, persistent postoperative pain, superficial cervical plexus blocks, ultrasound guidance, vascular disease.

Cordotomy is an invasive procedure for the management of intractable pain not controlled by conventional therapies, such as analgesics or nerve block. This procedure involves mechanical disruption of nociceptive pathways in the anterolateral column, specifically the spinothalamic and spinoreticular pathways to relieve pain while preserving fine touch and proprioceptive tracts. ⋯ Cancer pain, cordotomy complications, cordotomy indications, intractable pain, open cordotomy, percutaneous cordotomy.

Foraminal stenosis, defined as a narrowing of the cervical neural foramen, is one of the most common causes of upper extremity radicular pain. ⋯ Interlaminar epidural steroid injections, foraminal stenosis, spinal level, cervical disc herniation, radicular pain.

Cauda equina syndrome (CES) is a rare and serious syndrome that requires urgent surgery to improve neurological symptoms. CES can be caused by lumber disc herniation (LDH) and accounts for about 1% to 3% of all cases of disc herniation. ⋯ Cauda equina syndrome, lumbar disc herniation, outcomes, percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy.
