Literature on the barriers to implementing research findings into physiotherapy practice are often urban centric, using self report based on the hypothetical patient scenario. The objective of this study was to investigate the occurrence of barriers, encountered by evidence informed practice-trained physiotherapists in the management of "real world" patients in rural rehabilitation settings. ⋯ Practice setting, lack of patient-centered research and evidence-informed practice competency of physiotherapists can be significant barriers to implementing evidence-informed health decisions in rural rehabilitation setting.

Universal health coverage cannot be achieved without evidence from research, which requires national and international support. We hope that our careful documentation of one of China's local experience in designing and implementing the basic health insurance coverage, and our analysis of how it helped to achieve universal health coverage, will inform other systems in China as well as other relevant countries on their way to universal coverage. ⋯ Limited health resources are used more efficiently by pooling the risks and by implementing capitated provider payment, which enhances the cost awareness by health care providers, to improves efficiency and creates positive incentives for health professionals for using the most cost-effective health interventions.

To summarize international experiences in promoting use of generics and to extract essence for China's reference. ⋯ Effective promotion of generics use must be practice based on the real situation. Tailor-made and comprehensive measures are needed to address both demand and supply sides barriers before achieving tangible cost containment effect without unexpected side effects.

Pediatric off-label drug use in China: risk factors and management strategies.
To analyze the risk factors of pediatric off-label drug use, and propose management strategies for policy making of the pediatric off-label drug use in China. ⋯ (i) A management guideline for off-label drug use is urgently needed, with which we can guide medical institutions to establish the management regulations of off-label drug use. (ii) Pediatric clinical research should be promoted actively, and pharmaceutical enterprises should be encouraged to completely provide pediatric drug information. (iv) Academic organizations should be invited to join in for best professional drug use. (v) Pediatric patients and their families should receive the education on rational drug use.

Effect of ephedrine on intubating conditions created by propofol and rocuronium: a meta-analysis.
To evaluate the effect of ephedrine on intubation conditions (ICs) one minute after anesthesia induction using propofol and rocuronium. ⋯ Ephedrine, without extra side effects, created superior ICs one minute after anesthesia induction using propofol and rocuronium, and low dose (i.e., 70-100 μg/kg) is recommended as the possible optimal dose.
