Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia: A retrospective case series and review of the literature.
Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is characterized by hypoxemia, pulmonary infiltrates and pulmonary eosinophilia. Data is limited and the purpose of this study is to better understand this disorder. ⋯ As diagnostic methods and pharmacologic knowledge improve, the number of patients meeting criteria for idiopathic AEP remains small. Much remains to be learned about this truly rare condition, and current criteria may exclude milder presentations of the disease.

Report a case of sirolimus induced granulomatous pneumonitis. ⋯ Drugs induced pneumonitis should always be considered in transplant patients after infectious or other etiologies have been excluded. Sirolimus can cause granulomatous infiltrates in the lung possibly secondary to T-cell mediated hypersensitivity.

Tuberculosis hiding a non-Hodgkin lymphoma "there may be more to this than meets the eye".
Tuberculosis and lymphoma can share common features. We report the case of a non-HIV 60-year old man diagnosed with a severe form of disseminated tuberculosis in whom the atypical course of the disease under treatment led to investigations that unveiled the coexistence a non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This rare association has putative pathophysiological foundations. This justifies to raise the lymphoma hypothesis when a proved tuberculosis exhibits an atypical course.
