Heterogeneity of reported outcomes can impact the certainty of evidence for prehabilitation. The objective of this scoping review was to systematically map outcomes and assessment tools used in trials of surgical prehabilitation. ⋯ There is substantial heterogeneity in the reporting of outcomes and assessment tools across surgical prehabilitation trials. Identification of meaningful outcomes, and agreement on appropriate assessment tools, could inform the development of a prehabilitation core outcomes set to harmonise outcome reporting and facilitate meta-analyses.

Robotic versus Laparoscopic Liver Resection in Various Settings: An International Multicenter Propensity Score Matched Study of 10.075 Patients.
To compare the perioperative outcomes of robotic liver surgery (RLS) and laparoscopic liver surgery (LLS) in various settings. ⋯ While both produce excellent outcomes, RLS might facilitate slightly higher TOLS rates than LLS.

Randomized Controlled TrialA Pilot Study of Renin-Guided Angiotensin-II Infusion to Reduce Kidney Stress After Cardiac Surgery.
Vasoplegia is common after cardiac surgery, is associated with hyperreninemia, and can lead to acute kidney stress. We aimed to conduct a pilot study to test the hypothesis that, in vasoplegic cardiac surgery patients, angiotensin-II (AT-II) may not increase kidney stress (measured by [TIMP-2]*[IGFBP7]). ⋯ The infusion of AT-II for 12 hours appears feasible and did not lead to an increase in kidney stress in a high-risk cohort of cardiac surgery patients. These findings support the cautious continued investigation of AT-II as a vasopressor in hyperreninemic cardiac surgery patients.

We evaluated the association between Medicaid expansion and time to surgery among patients with early-stage breast cancer (BC). ⋯ As continued efforts are being made to increase access to health care, our study demonstrates a positive association between Medicaid expansion and a reduction in the delivery of upfront surgical care, reducing racial disparities among patients with early-stage BC.

Develop a pioneer surgical anonymization algorithm for reliable and accurate real-time removal of out-of-body images validated across various robotic platforms. ⋯ Our deep learning model, Robotic Anonymization Network, offers reliable, accurate, and safe real-time anonymization during complex and lengthy surgical procedures regardless of the robotic platform. The model can be used in real time for surgical live streaming and is openly available.
