The efficacy and safety of Clostridium butyricum and Bacillus coagulans in Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment: An open-label, single-arm pilot study.
Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection plays a critical role in gastritis-associated diseases, gastroduodenal ulcers, and even gastric cancer. Studies have shown that probiotics may exhibit antagonistic activity against H pylori. ⋯ C butyricum and B coagulans may effectively inhibit H pylori to some extent, with rare adverse events, and thus may reduce the burden of antibiotic resistance.

The etiology of idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM), a rare inflammatory breast disease, is not understood. There is no consensus regarding the treatment of IGM. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of surgery combined with traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of IGM. ⋯ The postoperative Yanghe decoction regimen was associated with more rapid recovery after IGM surgery. Surgical management combined with postoperative oral Yanghe decoction treatment yielded a higher CR rate and lower recurrence rate than surgery alone. The effect of traditional Chinese medicine in IGM treatment requires further study.

Breast cancer is a common disease in galactophore department. Patients with breast cancer are prone to depression, with the incidence of depression ranging from 13% to 23% and as high as 70% in patients with advanced stage. On the one hand, it is related to the physiological characteristics, personality characteristics, and social factors of women themselves. On the other hand, it is related to the common tumors of women, such as breast cancer, examination, and antitumor treatment. Due to the serious side effects of chemotherapy drugs, patients can always feel the presence of cancer. In addition, the mark of radiotherapy and fatigue make the psychological burden continue to have excessive economic burden, and lack of understanding from both social and family, discrimination and patients' own psychological endurance are all causes of breast cancer factors contributing to depressive symptoms in patients. Auricular acupuncture as a form of acupuncture therapy which is proved to be effective in RCTs and very suitable for patients, has been used in patients who suffer from breast cancer-related depression for a long time, therefore, a systematic review is necessary to provide available evidence for further study. ⋯ September 11, 2020 osf.io/5b7yw. Parkinsonian syndromes include typical cases of idiopathic Parkinson's disease (PD) and atypical parkinsonian syndromes (APS) associated with cognitive and vegetative disorders, which are more challenging to diagnose. The aim of this study was to assess -the value of dual-tracer imaging 6-fluoro-(18F)-L-DOPA (FDOPA) and fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT), performed in routine patients demonstrating extrapyramidal signs and cognitive complains, for the diagnosis and management of parkinsonian syndromes. We retrospectively included 143 consecutive patients who underwent both FDOPA PET/CT (for the evaluation of parkinsonism) and FDG PET/CT (for the evaluation of cognitive complaints) in the same institution. ⋯ Importantly, in 7.7% of cases dual-tracer PET/CT allowed to decide between several diagnostic hypotheses and led to a new diagnosis in 14.0%. Therefore, the management of these patients was modified, with clinical re-evaluation in a specialized unit and a control of neuropsychological tests and imaging. Dual-tracer PET/CT imaging may be a precious help in the diagnosis and management of parkinsonian syndromes.
