To evaluate the prognostic value of the baseline SUVmax of F-FDG PET-CT in extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (NKTCL) patients. From January 2010 to December 2015, 141 extranodal NKTCL patients with staging F-FDG PET-CT scan were divided into two group based on SUVmax cutoff value obtained from operating characteristic (ROC) curves. All the patients received radiotherapy, chemotherapy or chemoradiation. ⋯ For extranodal NKTCL patients, a higher baseline SUVmax of F-FDG PET-CT was associated with more aggressive clinical features. An SUVmax ≥ 9.65 was an independent poor prognostic factor for DRFS and PFS. Thus, the baseline SUVmax may be a valuable tool to help identify patients with a high risk of disease progression.

Antimelanoma differentiation-associated gene 5 antibody (anti-MDA5 Ab)-positive clinically amyopathic dermatomyositis (cADM) is frequently complicated with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and has a poor prognosis. Although the short-term prognosis of anti-MDA5 Ab-positive cADM is poor, it has been suggested that the recurrence rate is not higher than that of anti-MDA5 Ab-negative dermatomyositis. Combination therapy with corticosteroids, calcineurin inhibitors, and cyclophosphamide is the gold standard for the remission induction therapy at the onset. Recently, it has been reported that tofacitinib (TOF) could be effective for refractory anti-MDA5 Ab-positive cADM with ILD. Although initial remission induction therapy has been established, therapeutic strategies for relapse cases have not yet been established. ⋯ This case report is the first report suggesting the effectiveness of TOF for recurrent case of anti-MDA5 Ab-positive cADM with ILD. TOF might be an effective therapeutic option for treating recurrent case of anti-MDA5 Ab-positive cADM.

Several indexes evaluating the lymph node metastasis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (pNET) have been raised. We aimed to compare the prognostic value of the indexes via the analysis of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. We identified pNETs patients from SEER database (2004-2015). ⋯ Specifically, the rN had the lowest akaike information criterion of 4050.19, the highest likelihood ratio test (χ) of 48.87, and the highest C-index of 0.6094. The rN was significantly associated with age, tumor location, tumor differentiation, T classification and M classification (P < .05 for all). The 8th version of AJCC N classification for high grade pNET could be generalized for the pNET population.

This study aimed to improve the diagnostic accuracy of breast diseases by combining breast imaging-reporting and data system (BI-RADS) with the enhancement intensity and pattern of contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) (this combination of BI-RADS and CESM was designated as BaC). BI-RADS was used to evaluate low-energy CESM images. Spearman nonparametric correlation analysis was performed to analyze the correlation between the enhancement intensity of CESM subtraction images and the pathological results. ⋯ No significant correlation was observed between ring enhancement and the benignity or malignancy of lesions. The area under the ROC curve of BaC was higher than that of BI-RADS or CESM, and the difference was statistically significant. The diagnostic efficacy of BI-RADS combined with CESM enhancement was superior to that of either method alone.
