The efficacy of colchicine in the management of coronavirus disease 2019: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV2) infection is a recently emerged viral infection causing predominantly mild upper respiratory symptoms. However, in some instances, it might result in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) that poses a significant mortality risk. ARDS is postulated to be mediated by a surge of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, leading to a dysregulated hyper inflammatory response. Colchicine being an anti-inflammatory agent, might mitigate this dysregulated response. Thus, in the absence of therapeutic options available to manage coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), it is imperative to ascertain the effect of colchicine on improving outcomes in COVID-19 patients. ⋯ CRD42020191086.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is one of the infectious diseases that have seriously threatened global public health since its outbreak in 2019. Due to the complicated Pathogenesis, high infectivity and high fatality rate of COVID-19, there is currently no effective treatment for such epidemic disease. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long clinical history for the prevention and treatment of this kind of acute infectious disease. Qingfei Paidu Decoction (QFPD) is widely used in treating COVID-19 in China. However, there is still a lack of comprehensive and systematic evidence on the effectiveness and safety of Qingfei Paidu Decoction. ⋯ CRD42020200894.

Chronic heart failure has become one of the main diseases endangering human health in the 21st century. It is characterized by high morbidity and high mortality. With the continuous in-depth study of Traditional Chinese medicine, the treatment of heart failure by Tradional Chinese medicine has made significant progress, especially in improving the clinical symptoms of patients, controlling the development of the disease, and improving the quality of life of patients. ⋯ At present, there is very little research on the elements of chronic heart failure syndrome, and more exploration and excavation in this area are needed. So we designed this program. We aim to explore the distribution characteristics of Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome elements and combinations of chronic heart failure patients, and analyze the relationship between syndrome elements and related influencing factors.

Globally, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is still spreading rapidly. At present, there are no specifically approved therapeutic agents or vaccines for its treatment. Previous studies have shown that the convalescent plasma therapy (CPT) is effective in patients with COVID-19. However, its efficacy in patients with persistently positive nucleic acid test is unknown. ⋯ The time of initiating the CPT may be an important factor affecting its efficacy, and its therapeutic effect in the treatment of COVID-19, in the late stage, is limited.

Observational Study
"Sclerotic Band" type of classification system and measurement of necrotic area for osteonecrosis of the femoral head.
Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is a common orthopedic disease. Based on years of clinical experience and significant imaging data, this study aimed to elucidate a new type of it, to help improve prognosis in young adults and provide a basis for hip preservation treatment. From January 2014 to December 2016, a total of 211 patients undergoing hip preservation surgery for femoral head necrosis at our hospital were enrolled in this study. ⋯ After analysis, it is more accurate than JIC. The "Sclerotic band" type of classification system and 'quartile' methods are new methods to evaluate the stability of femoral head necrosis. They are convenient for clinical application and easily adopted.
