Due to epilepsy, children have faced several difficulties and challenges. Epilepsy shows an impact on a person quality of life (QoL) which can be associated with psychological, physical, and social aspects and can have a greater impact on the QoL of the person than that do through another chronic disease(s). Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is a multidimensional concept that includes emotional, mental, physical, behavioral, and social aspects of the well-being and functioning of the patients. ⋯ Male (P = .015), older children (12-14 years, P = .019), those residing in urban areas (P = .021), and those with focal seizures (P = .049) had higher QoL scores. The overall QoL of Chinese CWE is affected by sex, age, urbanization, and seizure type but not with education or economic status of the families. The study provides helpful insight for the clinicians in the management of chronic childhood epileptic conditions (Level of Evidence: II; Technical Efficacy Stage: 5).

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a disease complicated with inflammatory synovitis, which seriously affects the life quality of patients. Early diagnosis is important for prognosis of RA. Here, we aimed to develop and assess a model for early diagnosis of RA in southwest China. ⋯ Calibration and decision curve suggested that this nomogram was helpful within the threshold probability range of 0.02 to 1.00. Using this nomogram will help clinicians in the early diagnosis of RA. Laboratory indicators such as rheumatoid factor, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, RA33, and clinical symptoms such as morning stiffness, facet joint and knee joint are very important, which deserves the attention of clinicians.

Human walking reflects the state of human health. Numerous medical studies have been conducted to analyze walking patterns and to diagnose disease progression. However, this process requires expensive equipment and considerable time and manpower. ⋯ The arm SGCI measured after applying the 3 kg weight impairment on 1 leg was 22.167 ± 4.705. It was confirmed that the leg SGCI and 3 kg weight arm SGCI were statistically significant, as it yielded a P value of 0.001 (significance level α = 0.05). The SCGI can be automatically and continuously measured with the gyro sensor of the smartwatch and can be used as an indirect indicator of human walking conditions.

Health information is particularly essential in times of pandemics in which rapid response is crucial for political and stakeholder decision-making processes, and therefore the availability of data as well as its quality analysis are necessary. This study aimed to describe the completeness and quality of the e-Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) Health Surveillance database (SUS Vigilância em Saúde) of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, from the notification of deaths from corana virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from January 2020 to June 2021. A descriptive population-based register study was conducted from the analysis of the completeness of secondary data from the record of deaths from COVID-19, retrieved from the e-SUS Vigilância em Saúde (Health Surveillance) (VS) database of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, from January 2020 to June 2021. ⋯ Among the evolution variables, only "hospitalization" was classified as regular. Among the laboratory variables, only the polymerase chain reaction presented excellent completeness, while the "rapid test" and "serologies for immunoglobulin G, and immunoglobulin M" variables were classified as good completeness. It is concluded that most of the variables available in e-SUS VS of the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, of notification of deaths from COVID-19 in 2020 presented excellent completeness, confirming the excellent quality of the state database.
