Meta Analysis
Outcomes Associated With Intensive Care and Organ Support Among Patients With COVID-19: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Accurate accounting of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) critical care outcomes has important implications for health care delivery. ⋯ Coronavirus disease 2019 critical care outcomes have significantly improved since the start of the pandemic. Intensive care unit outcomes should be evaluated contextually (study quality, data completeness, and time) for the most accurate reporting and to effectively guide mortality predictions.

Graves' disease (GD) is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism in the clinic, accounting for about 85% of all hyperthyroidisms. However, hyperthyroidism combined with OH has been rarely reported in the international community. We analyzed the clinical characteristics and pathogenesis of GD combined with orthostatic hypotension. ⋯ The main clinical manifestations of both two patients with hyperthyroidism were vertigo during postural changes or activities and relief from supine position and blood volume supplementation. Considering the lack of blood volume, the symptoms were alleviated after symptomatic treatment. The possibility of hyperthyroidism combined with orthostatic hypotension should be taken into consideration in clinical diagnosis and treatment.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effectiveness of a non-physician community health-care provider-led intensive blood pressure intervention versus usual care on cardiovascular disease (CRHCP): an open-label, blinded-endpoint, cluster-randomised trial.
Effectiveness of a non-physician community health-care provider-led intensive blood pressure intervention on cardiovascular disease has not been established. We aimed to test the effectiveness of such an intervention compared with usual care on risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause death among individuals with hypertension. ⋯ The Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the Science and Technology Program of Liaoning Province, China.

Review Case Reports
Bilateral facial palsy caused by HIV infection: A case report and literature review.
Bilateral facial palsy (BFP) has been identified as a possible neurological complication of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, but only a limited number of cases have been reported in the literature. The purpose of this study was to deepen our understanding of the etiology of BFP. Case report: We report the case of a 46-year-old married bisexual man with BFP associated with HIV infection. ⋯ The pathophysiology of this clinical presentation is thought to be related to the immune response to the systemic transmission of the virus. Conclusions: Most patients with BFP have underlying systemic causes, particularly autoimmune diseases. The exclusion of HIV infection in patients with BFP is essential for the early diagnosis and management of HIV.

Congenital heart disease (CHD), the most common heart defect in children, refers to congenital disease with abnormal development of the heart or large blood vessels during the fetal period. The researchers suggest that children with CHD show more obvious neurodevelopmental disorders than children with normal development, and children with CHD may have a higher risk of social interaction and communication disorders. This is similar to the characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, the association between type of CHD and ASD is not well understood. This systematic review and meta-analysis will reveal the relationship between type of CHD and ASD. ⋯ The results will provide evidence for the early identification and early intervention of ASD in children with CHD, which may contribute to improving the neurodevelopmental outcome of children with CHD.
