The burden of RSV, hMPV, and PIV amongst hospitalized adults in the United States from 2016 to 2019.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), human metapneumovirus (hMPV), and parainfluenza virus (PIV) hospitalize many people yearly. Though severe lower respiratory tract disease has been described in children, the elderly, and the immunocompromised, there is a gap in our understanding of RSV, hMPV, and PIV in hospitalized adults. We sought to evaluate the association of RSV, hMPV, and PIV with severe respiratory disease requiring noninvasive or mechanical ventilation and death in hospitalized adults in the United States. ⋯ RSV, hMPV, and PIV have a significant burden on hospitalized adults, even without classic risk factors.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyDendritic cells loaded with allogeneic tumour cell lysate plus best supportive care versus best supportive care alone in patients with pleural mesothelioma as maintenance therapy after chemotherapy (DENIM): a multicentre, open-label, randomised, phase 2/3 study.
Dendritic cell immunotherapy has proven to be safe and induces an immune response in humans. We aimed to establish the efficacy of dendritic cells loaded with allogeneic tumour cell lysate (MesoPher, Amphera BV, 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands) as maintenance therapy in patients with pleural mesothelioma. ⋯ Amphera BV and EU HORIZON.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Treatment of non-hypertrophic pseudoarthrosis of long bones with a Tissue Engineered Product loaded with autologous bone marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stromal Cells: Results from a phase IIa, prospective, randomized, parallel, pilot clinical trial comparing to iliac crest autograft.
Atrophic pseudoarthrosis is a serious complication with an incidence of 5-10 % of bone fractures located in the diaphysis of long bones. Standard treatments involve aggressive surgical procedures and re-interventions requiring the use of autografts from the iliac crest as a source of bone-forming biological activity (Standard of Care, SoC). In this context, regenerative ex vivo expanded osteogenic cell-based medicines could be of interest. Particularly, Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSC) offer new prospects to promote bone tissue repair in pseudoarthrosis by providing biological activity in an osteoconductive and osteoinductive environment. ⋯ Although only a small number of patients were included in our study, it is notable that no significant differences were observed between the experimental treatment and SoC, thus suggesting TEP as an alternative where autograft is not available or contraindicated.

Review Case Reports
Neuro-Behçet's presentation as cerebral venous thrombosis - A report of two cases and review of the literature.
Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a rare stroke with multiple risk factors. One rare risk factor is Behçet's disease (BD). Out of around 3000 cases at our center in the past 10 years, two cases of BD with CVT were seen. ⋯ Both had CVT on neuroimaging and had positivity for human leukocyte antigen-B51. Case 2 responded to the anticoagulation and immunomodulation. Risk factor identification is essential in managing CVT, and planned evaluation (clinical or investigations) plays an important role in identifying rare causes that need specific treatment.

Multicenter StudyBL-B01D1, a first-in-class EGFR-HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate, in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumours: a first-in-human, open-label, multicentre, phase 1 study.
Antibody-drug conjugates have promising clinical activity in the treatment of solid tumours. BL-B01D1 is a first-in-class EGFR-HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate. We aimed to assess the safety and preliminary antitumour activity of BL-B01D1 in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumours. ⋯ For the Chinese translation of the abstract see Supplementary Materials section.
