This case series included 10 patients who underwent clavicular fracture surgery under general anesthesia. A novel analgesic approach combining 2 distinct nerve block techniques-serratus posterior superior intercostal plane block (SPSIPB) and clavipectoral plane block (CPPB)-was used for postoperative pain management. ⋯ The combination of SPSIPB and CPPB demonstrated variable efficacy in controlling postoperative pain. Future studies may explore potential improvements through dosage optimization, the use of adjuvants, or targeting higher anatomical levels.

Quadro-iliac plane block (QIPB) is a novel regional anesthesia technique that provides analgesia in the abdominal, lumbar, and hip regions. Case reports about the efficacy of this block in the literature are limited. In this report, we would like to share our successful QIPB experience with a patient with chronic myofascial low back pain.

Thoracic discectomy procedures require early and adequate pain control to alleviate patient discomfort after surgery. The intraoperative placement of a nerve block after intercostal nerve violation can offer early pain management after thoracic discectomy. ⋯ Intercostal nerve blockage offers a valuable addition to postoperative pain management and may be considered as an available pain relief option for patients undergoing thoracic discectomy.

In reconstructive surgeries, iliac crest bone graft harvesting is commonly preferred. The pain experienced after surgery at the anterior iliac crest (AIC) donor site might be more intense compared to the pain at the primary surgical area where the graft is placed. To address this issue, we defined a novel technique called the anterior iliac block (AIB), which can provide analgesia with lower volumes. In this study, the effect of this technique for AIC bone greft harvesting was evaluated. ⋯ The study findings indicate that the AIB provides adequate analgesia for AIC graft harvesting in the first postoperative 24-hour period. It can be used as an adjuvant to the peripheric nerve block for the primary surgical site.
