In China, Salvia miltiorrhiza and ligustrazine (SML) injection are widely used as adjunctive therapy for patients with diabetic kidney disease (DKD). However, different studies have reported conflicting results. Therefore, a systematic review and meta-analysis are necessary to assess the efficacy and safety of SML injection for the treatment of DKD. ⋯ In patients with DKD, combining SML injection with ACEI/ARB improves renal function, renal proteinuria, hyperglycemia, blood pressure, dyslipidemia, and inflammatory response.

A high-grade breast mucoepidermoid carcinoma without MAML2 rearrangement: A case report and literature review.
Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) of the breast is an extremely rare primary breast tumor. Between 1979 and June 2022, only 50 cases were reported. The pathological morphology and biological behavior of breast MEC remain poorly understood. ⋯ A high-grade MEC case without MAML2 rearrangement shows good recovery without complications. The diagnosis was confirmed by histomorphology and immunohistochemical markers. It is sometimes necessary to distinguish it from adenosquamous, adenoid cystic, or mucinous carcinoma. The primary treatment is surgical resection, and the prognosis is closely related to the pathological grade.

Hemodynamic coherence plays a critical role in the outcomes of septic shock. Due to the potential negative consequences of microcirculatory disorders on organ failure and clinical outcomes, the maintenance of a balance between the macrocirculation and microcirculation is a topic of significant research focus. Although physical methods and specialized imaging techniques are used in clinical practice to assess microcirculation, the use of monitoring devices is not widespread. ⋯ Consequently, this review aims to evaluate the impact of septic shock on the microcirculation, the methods used to monitor the microcirculation and highlight the importance of microcirculation in the treatment of critically ill patients. In addition, it proposes an evaluation framework that integrates microcirculation monitoring with macrocirculatory parameters. The optimal approach should encompass dynamic, multiparametric, individualized, and continuous monitoring of both the macrocirculation and microcirculation, particularly in cases of hemodynamic separation.

Diabetic nephropathy (DN), a multifaceted disease with various contributing factors, presents challenges in understanding its underlying causes. Uncovering biomarkers linked to this condition can shed light on its pathogenesis and support the creation of new diagnostic and treatment methods. Gene expression data were sourced from accessible public databases, and Weighted Gene Co-expression Network Analysis (WGCNA)was employed to pinpoint gene co-expression modules relevant to DN. ⋯ Our research uncovered potential biomarkers for DN through the application of WGCNA and various machine learning methods. The results indicate that 2 central genes could serve as innovative diagnostic indicators and therapeutic targets for this disease. This discovery offers fresh perspectives on the development of DN and could contribute to the advancement of new diagnostic and treatment approaches.

The study of healthcare-seeking behavior is essential for optimizing resource allocation and improving healthcare services. Its complexity and diversity have made it a prominent research area. Understanding factors influencing healthcare-seeking decisions allows targeted interventions and policy development to address barriers and ensure equitable access to quality healthcare for diverse populations. Such research plays a vital role in enhancing healthcare outcomes and overall population health. ⋯ Based on the aforementioned literature review and framework, several conclusions were drawn. The determinants that facilitate healthcare-seeking behavior include improving health education awareness, enhancing healthcare resources, reducing costs, and ensuring system soundness. Additionally, providing social environment support was found to be crucial. Furthermore, the fundamental elements of healthcare-seeking behavior were identified as healthcare demand, healthcare choices, and the process of diagnosis and treatment. These findings provide valuable insights for developing interventions and policies to promote optimal healthcare-seeking behavior.
