To identify a prognostic significant gene signature for predicting colorectal cancer (CRC) recurrence. ⋯ The identified ERG signature is a promising and powerful biomarker predicting recurrence in CRC patients. Moreover, the presented ERG signature might help to stratify patients according to their tumor biology and contribute to personalized treatment.

Sagittal balance is an important clinical parameter of the spine for its normal function. Maintenance of the sagittal balance is crucial in the clinical management of spinal problems. ⋯ This study showed that the imbalance in sagittal alignment might be responsible for disc degeneration and atraumatic vertebral fractures at the thoracolumbar regions, supporting clinical findings.

Multicenter Study
A Breakthrough Improvement Collaborative Significantly Reduces Hospital Stay after Elective Colectomy for Cancer Across a Healthcare System.
This multicenter study aimed to assess (1) the effect of an improvement collaborative on enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol adherence after elective colectomy and (2) the association between adherence and patient outcomes. ⋯ A peer-constructed improvement collaborative effectively increases adherence to an ERAS protocol in individual hospitals. Across time, length of stay and postoperative complications decreased significantly, and a dose-response relationship was observed.

Low back pain (LBP) follows different pain trajectories, and patients seem to recognize their trajectory. This allows self-reported visual pain trajectories (SRVTs) to support patient-provider communication. Pain trajectories appear stable over time for many patients, but the evidence is sparse. ⋯ The preference ORs indicated that transitions occurred mainly to similar SRVTs differing in only 1 subscale. Transitions to less or more intense SRVTs were associated with changes in clinical outcomes in the expected direction. Despite distinctly different SRVTs identified, individuals reported relatively stable LBP phenotypes but with potential for change.
