To assess the effectiveness of optimized ex-vivo liver resection and autotransplantation (ELRA) for treating liver malignancies. ⋯ Long-term outcomes of ELRA under precision liver surgery for advanced liver malignancy were favorable. Appropriate criteria for disease selection and surgical indications and optimized procedures together can improve surgical treatment and patient prognosis.

Impact of Age on the Occurrence of Processed Electroencephalographic Burst Suppression.
Patient age is assumed to be an important risk factor for the occurrence of burst suppression, yet this has still to be confirmed by large datasets. ⋯ The probability of burst suppression during general anesthesia increases linearly with age in adult patients, while lower anesthetic concentrations induce burst suppression with increasing patient age. Simultaneously, algorithm-based burst suppression detection appears to perform worse in older patients. These findings highlight the necessity to further enhance EEG application and surveillance strategies in anesthesia.

Beliefs and knowledge about pain can influence how an individual approaches pain management. At present, there have been no investigations into the beliefs and knowledge that females hold about their pelvic pain; therefore, pain intervention approaches may not be targeted at current patient understandings. Exploring beliefs and knowledge may help inform and subsequently improve pain intervention outcomes for pelvic pain by allowing more tailored content to be delivered. This study aimed to identify beliefs and knowledge that females hold about their pelvic pain. ⋯ This study provides insight into the perspectives of females with pelvic pain. Recommendations for clinicians are provided with a focus on delivering targeted education and equipping patients with helpful representations of their pain.

Caudal agenesis (CA) is a congenital disease characterized by lower vertebral bone defects. Previous classifications for CA were based on the levels of bony defects or the conus medullaris. We created a new pathoembryogenic classification that takes into account the level of conus, considering both its shape and filum. We evaluated its accuracy in reflecting the neurological status and the need for untethering. ⋯ The correlation between bony classification and spinal cord abnormalities was exaggerated. Our new pathoembryogenic classification was valuable in prognosticating neurological status and identifying the patient group more likely to require untethering among patients with CA.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the clinical application of three-dimensional arterial spin labeling (3D-ASL) and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) in transient ischemic attacks. Methods: Forty patients with transient cerebral ischemia in our hospital were selected and included from July 2020 to March 2022. All subjects were detected by DWI and 3D-ASL technology. ⋯ There was a significant difference in the attack frequency of patients with transient cerebral ischemia with different perfusion ( P < 0.05). There was a significant difference in attack frequency between patients with transient ischemic attack and patients without vascular stenosis ( P < 0.05). Conclusion: 3D-ASL and DWI technology have higher diagnostic efficiency for transient cerebral ischemia.
