We sought to analyze the current situation of personnel training and scientific research regarding pharmacy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS), to provide evidence-based medical knowledge to inform personnel training for PIVAS in mainland China. A cross-sectional survey was used to examine the current status of PIVAS personnel training, research capabilities, needs, and research output of PIVAS personnel based from the perspective of leaders in PIVAS in China. The survey period was from March to April 2019. ⋯ There were no significant differences in the training of PIVAS personnel and scientific research between different provinces and hospital levels. The training content of PIVAS personnel in China was found to be relatively rich, but management tools, career development, and training in scientific research were found to be relatively weak, and the scientific research output was very low. It is necessary to build a comprehensive training system for career development among PIVAS personnel.

Strategies adopted to manage physical and psychosocial challenges after returning home among people with stroke: A qualitative study.
Stroke survivors encounter various physical and psychosocial challenges after hospital discharge. Systematic reviews consistently suggest the importance of self-management in promoting post-stroke recovery. However, stroke survivors' performance of self-management behaviors after returning home is poorly understood. ⋯ Participants regarded learning as a prerequisite for improving their affected functions and managing uncertainties in recovery. Learning requires self-participation, building self-efficacy and positive outcome expectations, testing and adapting strategies to one's own health conditions, and engaging in leisure or social activities. These findings will guide future development of interventions for enhancing stroke survivors' recovery outcomes.

Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) has received much attention in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 recently. However, it can cause irreversible vision loss. Few cases have been reported in pediatric patient with HCQ-related adverse reactions. Appropriate administration and early disease recognition are important for reducing the adverse drug reactions of HCQ. ⋯ Although decreased visual acuity is an infrequent symptom, ophthalmologists should be aware of the possibility of HCQ concentration enrichment and consider minimizing HCQ use when a child with renal hypofunction seeks treatment for shortsightedness.

Genotypic and histological evolution of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) into small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) has been described as a mechanism of acquired resistance to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy. However, the number of clinical cases is rare. ⋯ The cases highlighted the importance of rebiopsy that identified pathologically SCLC transformation after EGFR-TKI resistance, and suggested the treatment of erlotinib plus EP followed by etoposide, which could provide a reference for such phenotype.
