To highlight the components of stripping operation of the great saphenous vein and to offer a proposal for guidelines. ⋯ While the patients who were operated on for the second time regained their health, others became the epitome of hopelessness and mistrust. They lost their confidence in medicine and surgery. If a stripping operation is planned, it should be performed in full accordance with the surgical procedure of stripping as mentioned in the classical textbooks. Guidelines should contain expressions reminding of ethical issues. This will prevent the dereliction of the duty and the loss of money, labor, time, health, patients' confidence in surgery (Tab. 1, Fig. 1, Ref. 18) Keywords: ethics, malpractice, quality of life, venous, saphenous, stripping.

Inappropriate use of antibiotics in the outpatient setting is a common problem, yet literature evaluating best practices for stewardship interventions in this setting is sparse. ⋯ Implementation of CDS order panels resulted in a reduction in inappropriate azithromycin prescribing. However, additional improvement in azithromycin prescribing is needed especially for the indications of bronchitis and unspecified URI.

Aprepitant (NK1), ramosetron (5HT3), granisetron (5HT3), ondanestron (5HT3) & dexamethasone (steroid) all significantly reduce postoperative nausea & vomiting when used as prophylaxis with a high evidence certainty.

Hans v. Euler, while investigating how genes and enzymes were chemically related in some chlorofylldefective mutants of barley, isolated gramine, an indole. Erdtman synthetized isogramine and found it to have weak anesthetic properties. ⋯ Xylocain, however, has had an excellent record of safety. Only during the last years have there been reports on possible toxic irritation and damage by Xylocain used for spinal anesthesia. The aetiology is still not clear In this connection two early observations by Gordh and his coworkers are discussed.

To identify and describe features of relationship-based care that contribute to a successful collaborative model of primary care delivery. ⋯ Collaborative care is advanced by health authorities to improve quality of care and reduce health care costs. This model is still poorly understood in Nova Scotia. The findings, which draw on focused ethnographic fieldwork and analysis of the NECHC, suggest that the NECHC is a pragmatic real-world model of collaborative health care. The success of its approach relies on a deliberative democratic realization of reflexive practice through relationship-based care.
