    AbstractFive primary factors determine a hospital's costs for preparing to treat Ebola: Obtaining sufficient amounts and types of personal protective equipment (PPE) to meet the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Training staff in the donning and doffing of PPE Setting aside and outfitting the dedicated treatment space for suspected or actual Ebola patients. Providing dedicated laboratory and imaging equipment. Undertaking a range of administrative steps, such as staff protocols, transfer agreements with community hospitals, and medical waste disposal logistics.
