AbstractPlacing implants in the edentulous jaw of an individual with severe posterior mandibular atrophy is challenging due to the insufficient bone height above the inferior alveolar nerve canal. The different reconstruction techniques available cause extensive morbidity, are costly, and require prolonged treatments. In here we report a case series of patients treated with a new minimally invasive technique to facilitate implant placement in patients with severely atrophied posterior mandible.
