AbstractHepatocellular carcinoma is the most common malignancy in liver, is also a global problem and is the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancers among men and the fourth leading causes of cancer death among both men and women in China. Liver resection or hepatic resection and radiofrequency ablation is widely accepted as a first-line surgical approach for hepatocellular carcinoma in China. However, the indications of radiofrequency ablation or hepatic resection are different and not unified in China. In this article, we review the current status of hepatic resection and radiofrequency ablation therapies in hepatocellular carcinoma management in China.© The Author 2016.
