    BackgroundPersonnel calculation in intensive care has been a subject of conflict for over 63 years. The aim of these remarks is primarily to indicate the current state of the discussions.MethodThe methods of working-scientific analyses in practice with the respective factors are shown.ResultIt seems clear that a fair personnel calculation is limited by scarce financial resources and political policy.
