AbstractAfter a major search of the more recent literature, the Authors present a critical examination of guidelines now in use for the surgical treatment in utero of numerous fetal abnormalities. Specifically, they underline not only ethical and deontological but also technical principles relating to this particular surgery. They are also involved in examining the depth all the more common surgical procedures used in different pathologies and in suggesting new lines of future development.
