AbstractTissue expansion is an ideal reconstructive procedure for burn scar alopecia. Donor tissue is generated in situ, allowing for the use of hair-bearing tissue to reconstruct an area of alopecia. The process of tissue expansion results in a redistribution of the remaining hair follicles to replace the area of alopecia.
