Medicaid program; coverage of qualified pregnant women and children and newborn children--HCFA. Final rule.

    • Fed Regist. 1987 Nov 9; 52 (216): 43063-73.

AbstractThis final rule amends the Medicaid regulations to add two mandatory eligibility groups of individuals for Medicaid coverage: (1) Qualified pregnant women and certain children under age 5; and (2) newborn children of Medicaid-eligible women. The amendments conform the regulations to certain provisions of the Deficit Reduction Act of 1984 and the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985. The amendments also make a technical change to conform the language of the regulations to a provision of another previously enacted law.
