    AbstractWith increasing consumption of tobacco the number of deaths caused by respiratory carcinoma is growing. There was, however, not found any shortening of the duration of life. Other neoplasms, heart and vascular diseases and all the other kinds of disease are distributed in the four groups of smokers without any evident influences of smoking.
