AbstractHistoplasma capsulatum can, sometimes, simulate sarcoidosis, clinically and pathologically. A case is reported in which disseminated histoplasmosis is proved only by fungus granulomatous tissue. Another similar cases of the literature incite to propose the practice of special stains, above all Gomori-Grocott technical, before sarcoid-like lesions. Lesions pathogeny was discussed. In our case it's not possible to eliminate the role of primary sarcoidosis in disseminated histoplasmosis.
