AbstractThis report describes a case of Takayasu's disease and ulcerative colitis occurring simultaneously in a 35-yr-old Sri Lankan woman. It is suggested that these two diseases may be immunologically related and the possible pathogenic mechanisms by which these two disorders may be associated are discussed.
