AbstractWe report 3 cases of recalcitrant dermatomyositis that responded to the addition of daily leflunomide, a novel immunomodulatory drug that is currently used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. In our patients, leflunomide proved both safe and effective as adjuvant therapy in treating dermatomyositis.
